Hard Core Challenge: Narrow Neck Pass Pentathlon

A skilled Hard Core team of Wild Women on Top rock scramblers was assembled on 9 Nov, to challenge themselves to a course devised by Sydney Bushwalking club leader, Karl Miller.

The course involved several near vertical passes along the Narrow Neck ridge line, including some historic and hidden locations.

The team included Di Westaway, Roz Warne, Holly Docker, Jacqueline Conway, Linda Smith, Nerida Hopkins and Sally Collins.

Some of us stayed clean and fresh, while others discarded gaitors in the heat, to shred our legs and delight in the positive pain of bush bashing.

Karl skillfully led us to Harmil's Ledge and up Dunphy's as well as up Carlon's, down Taros and down Duncans.

It was a great day out and a thrill to follow in the footsteps of bushwalking legend, the famous Dot Butler, who tramped these areas decades ago.

Wild Women on Top Blue Gum Challenge

An awesome team of Wild Women on Top gathered at the top of Govett's Leap on Sat 8th Nov for this exquisite Mod Squad Challenge.

With full packs, they climbed down Govett's, set up camp, filled up at Grosse river and then scampered up to the top of Lockley's Pylon to Du Faur Head and Du Faur Buttress for lunch!

After an overnight camp in the Blue Gum Forest, they headed back up Govett's and then around to the Grand Canyon and back out via Neates Glen.

The team was led by Millie Herzberg and Lisa Marshall, plus Elaine, Lee, Candace, Bridget, Melissa, Amanda, Jo, Jules, Ana and Therese, and their stories, photos and limericks follow.

These are truly inspiring Wild Women on Top!
